accommodations
Our camp offers comfortable lodging for up to 23 guests. For groups of 16 or more, you’ll have exclusive access to the entire camp—making it a perfect setting for family reunions, fishing groups, or retreats.
Our wood-frame cabins are equipped with fully stocked kitchens, including pots, pans, and cooking/eating utensils. Refrigerators and stoves run on propane, while solar panels power the lighting and USB ports for charging your devices. Each cabin also includes both propane and charcoal grills, along with running water for kitchen use and showers. For added convenience, there’s a central shower building on-site featuring a traditional Finnish sauna and spacious changing area.
Pascoe’s at Baril Bay is truly remote—there’s no road access. The only way in is by boat shuttle, provided by us. At a prearranged time, we’ll meet you at our designated pickup location and shuttle you about 20 minutes down the lake to the camp.
We provide beds and pillows, but guests should bring their own:
-
Twin-size bed sheets or sleeping bag
-
Pillowcases
-
Personal and kitchen towels
-
Washcloths
There are no laundry facilities on site, so plan accordingly for the length of your stay.
While we embrace being off the grid, we understand the need to stay connected. Our main cabin has cell service, allowing for phone calls and basic internet access when needed.
What to Bring:
Guests are responsible for their own food, beverages, paper goods, and soaps. Please be aware of Canadian border regulations regarding certain food types and alcohol limits. If you prefer to stock up once in Canada, there are a few stores along the route to our pickup location.
Fishing Boats & Camp Features:
We provide deep, 16-foot aluminum fishing boats, each equipped with a fuel-efficient 4-stroke, 15 HP motor and one tank of gas per day. Boats also include:
-
Cushioned seats
-
Life jackets
-
Landing nets
-
Oars
-
Anchor
Additional camp features include a screened gazebo, yard games, a large outdoor fire ring with seating, and a fully equipped fish-cleaning facility.
